Chris, with my 6-GT3 at THill last year running the exhaust system (by Charles Dundon) that I think you saw, it ran 106 db. That system has custom headers, no cats, and small mufflers. I figured it was going to be over the 103 db limit. So I came armed with crudely made "turn downs" shown below that allowed me to pass. I don't know what the sound output was after installing them; I only know that I didn't get black flagged again -- and I know they were checking. I had unquestionably the loudest car on the track, and that included probably 8 Cup cars. The grizzled man (named "Turbo") who controls the track there, was nice enough to tell me where the sound meter was so I could aim my turn downs away from it. I think he said it was at Turn 15 on the right side. No guarantees that it will still be there, or that there won't be additional sound measurement elsewhere, especially if they're running the 5 mile course. Anyone know?

Mooty, I wish I could commit to this; I'd love to be there but it's not in the cards.

First time poster but lurking for a while.

Has the track layout and date been finalized? I would love to get clean laps on the 3 mile, over the top config and do so with a group of enthusiasts.

Thanks mooty for helping me with arrive and drive options and also Trakcar for some relic time as an option! I am just happy to hang out, enjoy good company, and away from 2x crying babies.

Guys & Girls, if you are anywhere within 1000 mile radius, this meca trip is worth it.

I have done SPM/Mooty track day #1/#2 and all have been spectacular.

Did 1 and 2 and you couldn't ask for a better group to drive and spend the day with. They have spoiled me forever for tracking.

No kidding, this should be full by now! So wish I could make it. Trackcar has totally inspired me to get better organized and head out west in 2015. Adventures like this are what these cars are all about. Plus I've got to meet Mooty, who should have a bad *** 964 by then.
