Default Anyone know this PN? Brake shieldy thingy

There is a curved piece of aluminum that looks like it guides air to the center of the front rotor. See pic. I can't find this in the part catalog, anyone know the Right/left P/Ns? My right side broke and is rattling around. .2RS - thx for help in advance!

Are those OEM on all 997.1/2? Here's an odd note.. I'm getting my car .1rs worked on when I first got it and shop had a spare set lying around and observed they were missing. There is clearly a spot to mount them. At that time I looked everywhere for the part number in the pet and it's not there. I'd assumed it may have been a motorsports part but I don't see it in the cup 996 or 997 catalogs. No idea why they weren't on my car. Got em now. I'd go out and get it but car is at shop still...

I'm assuming they are OEM because I didn't put them there. Maybe it's a .2 thing vs. a .1?

They are the same on 996rs uprights and all 997 gt uprights.
It's called an air baffle plate and the parts numbers are
996.351.815.90 left
996.351.816.90 right.
I know this because I've just put Rs uprights on my gt2 and had to get all of the heat shields etc.
Cheers Neil

Cup cars don't have these on them for some reason, I don't know why.
When you look on the pet its on the front brake section but it doesn't show you any pictures of the actual heatshields just one pic of a large one as on a standard 996/997 then when you look at that number in the part number listings there are 3 different parts each side.
Hope that helps
Cheers Neil

Orbit made them stronger.
Or just keep replacing them.

I am not sure what it is but mine broke as well and the shop welded a piece to it to re-secure to the strut. meanwhile i took it off until the car was at the shop for a track prep.

What didn't Orbit prepare on your cars....lol.

Now I have to run downstairs and see if I even have these things still attached.

Lol, Good Point.
We figure they help with brake cooling along with the NACA ducts and air intakes and the flaps on the leading EDGE of the wheel opening in the front fender that connects to the CUP lip.

I never broke an Orbit made one.

Perfect, thanks - Suncoast is sending.

FYI to those who are wondering, it's just a $32 part.
