The low dealer trade in of $93K seems high to me, my guess is that you'd take that if one actually offered it to you, as it would be worth the $2K just to avoid the hassle you're going through now.
On a trade in you also get a sales tax break in most states...so you don't have to re-pay state sales tax on the first $9xK. In case of where I live that is worth another $6k...

my local dealers are lowballers and greedy, as far as tax savings.. i bought another car so running this deal thru the dealer to get that tax back...
All of them, in my experience are. Ironically, many thought I should dump my car, or "have cash today" for what the dealer was offering. With patience, and no gun to my head, I got my asking price.
