Hello guys,
I started my .1 GT3 today and had a very lazy crank to start, due to the battery being a bit down. The car did start, but when it did the airbag warning light came on. This has never happened before. Any thoughts as to why? I know modern cars need a lot of voltage to run and monitor all systems, and a low volt situation can cause sensors to trip. Should this go off after a full recharge of the battery and a few key cycles, or will it need to be reset at a shop or dealer? Thanks Steve

I'm familiar with a situation where the airbag control module will do a "bit flip" if the outside temperatures are very low and trip the airbag warning light. This happened in my Audi and the only remedy was to replace/repair the airbag control module. The airbag warning light could not be reset via software. I sent the module to a place that repairs them and reinstalled. The light is now out and the airbag system tests ok.
I think they can be pretty finicky.
