Not to be a downer, but Auto Gallery is notorious for dramatically over-pricing, and then having cars sit forever in their inventory, slowly inching down back to reasonable list prices.

Very true. But in my experience they do pay top dollar for used Porsches. I sold my 997 to them in 2008 (which sat on their lot for 8+ months, advertised for less than they paid me towards the end), and they gave me a very competitive offer on my Spyder last summer.

But twice I have tried to buy GT3s from them, and they would not consider even a reasonable offer (could not even get a lease down to MSRP during the recession, and that car also sat for 6+ months).

Not sure how that business model continues to work for them, but apparently it does...
