I would street drive them
I didn't because they were my track wheels and I trailer
They weigh about 21 lbs each

Magnesium wheels and some other forged aluminum. Track wheels are pared down to save weight, and while being on the track they do take abuse the surface is smooth and pothole free. Hitting a pothole or buckled section just one time can crack a wheel.

Scorpion sorry but I am a moron on the subject.
Magnesium wheels do you mean like Dymag???
I had Dymags on my '07 GT3 which i drove on the street. Only ditched them cuz they leaked like ****. They sucked!!! There where many wheel manufacturers with equal weight alunimum forged wheels that didn't suck.
Now which wheel manufacturer do you know of have such low weight forged aluminum designs that are NOT street usable?
Now please be very very clear.
Again I'm just a guy who doesn't known ****.

Well, besides any durability concern you hit on the 2nd concern right there.

I don't know **** either. I am just parroting other crap I read here mostly. There was recently a thread about the BBS E88. Here i found it...

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...-question.html

Somebody a lot smarter than me commented that these are not a good choice for the street.

if you want smoehting that's bullet proof, run oem.
ALL aftermkt wheel that are worth running are lighter than oem, and more likely to bent. i am not saying they bent like paperclips. but none are as bent proof as oem. but i have over loads of miles on BBS E88, fike, ccw, jongbloed. i hit curbs, sidewalks and pothole. once in a while they bent. no bigger, just put a new barrel on. the centers are strong.

I'm sure I would be happy with a lighter than OEM 18" wheel like the ones you mention as long as they hold air. This is an important feature for me
