Glad to hear you guys were okay in the accident. When I saw Sharkwerks post the white 3.9 to their IG account last week I was thinking to myself "that looks like Snowboarders car, except it's white!." Sure enough, it was! Quite the community the NorCal GT3 group is. You guys really take care of each other and that's great to read.

Sorry to hear about your accident but so glad that everything worked out. I see the HREs and the Big Brembos were transferred over as well!

hey snowboarder, seriously touched and just so glad you're officially BACK and in a White Shark 3.9 to boot. It was/is a real pleasure because of you absolutely epitomize what the GT3 owner is and stands for. Many happy and long miles. Here's to another 65k right?

I loved the pix with the wee lads and then from your living room. Got a good smile before I went to sleep last night

If anyone ever had any doubts about how strong/tough these chassis are I got to see/feel first hand. I seriously don't think we'd both be on here and typing had we been in a different car etc... These things are solid solid.

They sure do! There's something in these cars there just is...

Glad everything and everyone turned out ok! Snowboarder's 3.9 must live on!

One question though, why not upgrade the 3.9 to a 4.1 while you were at it?

So glad that you're all OK and your new GT3 is a stunner! I love a happy ending to these kind of stories, and I'm so pleased that this is exactly what you did get.

Once you've been a 3.9'er in a gen 1 it's hard to take that away I honestly think the 4.1 is better suited to the gen2 engine plus chassis as far as balance goes

Yep it's nice to know the the good guys (Snowboarder) sometimes do get what they deserve

PS And if anyone has wondered why I'm more strange than usual it's likely that bump to the head. Apologies

As far as chasis goes, when one has 4.0 coilovers plus full monoball joints, I don't think there is much difference between a .1 and .2. The engine itself though is another thing.

Yep that will help... 4.1 eats up 325's for lunch let alone 305s

Love to read members stories here. This was a great one, well told, and with happy results. Glad you're both ok and a new chapter for the original 3.9 begins. And, the solid rep of SW continues...

Glad you both are okay, the side of the car crashing against a tree or a pole is probably one of the worst kind of accident to have.

And +1 for Sharkwerks and Mooty, makes owning a GT3 in the bay area even better.
