Hello all,
I own a 997.2 GT3 which I love. Follow these boards often but do not post often.
Would really appreciate the insight of anyone's opinion on the following
I am in the market for a Luxury Sport "Sedan" 4 door and would like owners opinions please.
My budget is $80k. Need 4 doors, not traditional coupe and I want the WOW factor every time I turn the ignition
I prefer to always buy new as I keep cars for many years, usually over 5 to 6yrs.
1.MB CLS500-Love the look. Great engine V8, 402HP and is $75k Out the door.
2. BMW 6 Series 640i GC-Also beautiful car-About $82k out the door
I know the Audi is not above as it doesn't do it for me, I don't know why. Its subjective of course but it doesn't call to me.
I have read many articles on both and just cant decide. Is the MB cockpit outdated? Is the BMW under powered for the money?
I have not driven either yet.
Can you guys please shed any light for me on both or one of these. Thanks again
Eric

C63 AMG Edition 507
pros: 507 HP, lsd, gobs of torque
cons: rear wheels not as wide as I wish they were, transmission while being extremely fast and accurate is slow to downshift requests in manual mode.

Seriously...look at a 1 or 2 year old CLS63. They suffer massive depreciation and Mercedes has a good previously owned program with aggressive interest rates and extended warranty coverage.

I recently purchased M6 GC and I love it. I didn't think I would enjoy the car much cause of weight, but the car drives really nice, plenty of power and very smooth. Wife is shocked on how well the car drives and feels.
Also that is the only car I could find in manual!!!

They all have massive depreciation.
Owned many Mercedes, CPO at 30-50% go new with 3 year warranty and UNLIMITED mileage.
Today I'd go E63 or CL63 pre turbo with the best engine ever made 6.2V8.

I have 7.2 GT3 and a CLS55 (original CLS with supercharged V8).
They complement each other perfectly. I have had the CLS for 4 years and about 36,000 miles. Utterly fabulous machine.

I have the CLS550. Great car. Fast and powerful. Just a bit heavy in the curves. Mine is the flat white color so it's a bit different than the others. Now if I could just keep my wife from going to the car wash with it.
