991 RS to show at GoodWood

IMO showing RS at Goodwood would be sheer stupidity
No guarantee current GT3 owners will even have their car back (with new engine) by then
I worked for the largest consumer products company in America for 25 years and the #1 rule was that you do NOT introduce new items when you cannot service the ones you have !
I remember once when Marketing wanted to introduce new line extension for a brand that was on allocation (ie shipping customers approx. 50% of their needs)...took them to a few customers to float the idea...needless to say said Mktg person got their *** handed to them. You just cannot sell new models when current ones are parked/on fire/less engines.
As my old manager would say, that's a "double-dumb"
Bill

more reason to believe it will have a different engine then? maybe the turbo rumor is true. Wasnt the GT2 of the last two generations all introduced after the GT3 and before the GT3RS?

Some I know close to porsche (not on dealer side!) do not believe a move to turbo is likely. Believe these are simply cooling slots as seen on the RSR racers. This has been mentioned before. HP will most likely come from displacement. however, there could always be minimal HP increase with a focus on driving dynamics and aero (more or less like .1 gt3 to rs).
I also would be surprised of a release at Goodwood.
