GTS = facelift incoming, parts bin special

Love the Cayman, a bargain Porsche and way more value and, IMO, performance than a base Carrera, but no thanks

They made this fitting and cool advertisement video when they thought they were going to put the GT3 engine in it.

Than they changed their mind and it turned into an overdramatic bull**** video.

Maybe the guy in charge of specing the connecting rods on the 991 GT3 motors was called into this super-important meeting.

Nope...it won't....a .1 and especially .2 gT3 will be 4-5 secs faster at Sebring.

The Committee. - YouTube
Porsche normally doles out power increases in once-every-3-years increments of 5 HP. It took a committee of their most fearless mavericks to come up with the idea of 15 HP increase! The VW Board of Directors probably fired them all.

Sorry, I was being ambiguous. If you choose your weapon anything can be faster. I was thinking in American Car mag Parlance like Road & Track's Fast Laps features where they use a 911 S and a Cayman S and get the same Times because the people driving the 911's don't know how to drive them.

Drum notice how I didn't say what type of 911. For all everyone knows I could have meant an old long hood T model.

I almost ordered a Cayman GTS. The Cayman S with Sport Suspension, Torque Vectoring and PDK is a ball to drive. However, I'll be in a one owner 9000 mi 2010 GT3 as soon as the owner gets back in town.

Don't ask, don't tell. I don't talk price and she gets everything "on sale"

Enjoy life... buy the car, drive it, sell it, repeat the cycle.

(OT on OT thread ) Alan what are the wheels on the car in your avatar? They look fantastic.

Edit - Never mind, should have read your signature first.

It is reportedly confirmed now that there will be new Cayman and Boxster models with 4-cylinder engines, presumably turbocharged, producing up to 396 hp. That will put them solidly in 911 territory.
