Import duties to Aus are nuts.

Come to Socal, the weather is the same as Sydney, and cars are a lot cheaper. Bring your women. Lots of aussie women. Although Marmite may be hard to find. Hm.

Exactly, there are 2 shops at least specializing in it.
If I don't fit in a Corvette and it looks like I wont I'm starting a group buy for a few dozen BGB Daytona Specials.. $95k brakes, bar, seats, 430HP.

80K for a 340hp cayman wtf? Spec it like a $65k 460hp corvette and it will be 100k..

Not sure why Porsche would bother with a GTS package on a car that begs for the "R" package....

Somebody must be watering down the beer over there!

GTS?! gimmie a break. lol

Too much money for a 340hp car. Plus it does't have seats that accept a 6 point harness.

I do like the looks of the new Cayman but it needs a lot more power for the asking price.

On the bright side at least Porsche did not put the stupid center lock wheels on this car.

We should all do this. A guy in my region has one and it moves. Well.

Mine was nearly $90k!

I think a new z06 w/ 625hp for about the same price will be more compelling.

For those of you that are long term Porsche owners and understand the model depreciation history, will the GTS hold its value as the Cayman looks to me like it depreciates quickly when it leaves the lot like most eveything else. It might make a good DD for a while if its value stands up. Opinions?

Can you even spec it with Sport Suspension? Can't check on my phone.

Agree, BGB 3.8 Cayman sounds way better. Or a manual 475hp BGB Cayman GT3 with one of the 785 refurbished 991 GT3 engines (at half price) dropped in. Now we're talking.

all water cooled porsche has steep depn curve, other than GT3.
buy a cayman and forget dep'n. you drank a bottle of fine wine,. it's gone. no more. money is not there anymore. but the experience stays with you. well unless you are too hammered.
