Very frustrating and time consuming for the seller.
I was number 3 in line for my RS. I had cash and waited for the other two to not have cash. I don't understand with a purchase of this magnitude not having the dough ready to go? Just me I suppose.

when somebody makes me an offer, the first thing I say is: "you got it on ya?"

From there the price is negotiated and wire transfer/deposit sameday or next buyer in line please.

The worst is when you have a line formed to be fair and the head of the line disappears only to blow the sale with others in line who couldnt wait.

I would never dream about inquiring on a 100k + car without having the cash or financing fully sorted. Makes zero sense to me.

And then the funny part is some of those guys ask ME do I know Mooty and etc... I'm like dude, "I've OWNED 3 previous Mooty cars and I would buy three more". There are owners that people shouldn't buy cars from and then there's mooty. He's obviously a great driver, doesn't miss-gears and spends at least 22 hours per day cleaning his cars and when he's on secret missions abroad hires Bob to fix them even more.

He should start a dealership....

That's why you buy the seller, not the product. In that case you agree, you hang up, make wire.
+1 I had funds ready to go to buy an RS before I started talking to Mooty about buying one. He presented a lot of viable options for me and I selected the one that best fit what I was looking for (a non-creme puff/garage queen RS). Good thing for me I did not have to consult with a wife since I don't have one. Once we came to an agreement on price and inspection, funds were wired.

just saying.
I have an idea for you....before you even speak to anyone about helping them to buy a car....get a bank statement from them showing the cash just like I sent you.
