In the video it seemed the 991 was much better under braking and mid corner. But yes Rangers car is a beast

I agree, no excuses, but a couple comments.
The old girl was not running up to snuff.
It was running hot off and on. Thermostat appeared to have gotten stuck and water pump was in question. Tried to go out w/o T-stat and done after 3 laps. Sunday morning was a bust and day over.
Felt underpowered and just sour.
Back home, diagnosis ... water pump done and plugs all fouled.
Internal build all stout. Nothing was hurt.
She'll be back another day

The 991 GT3 is very nice. Drove one last week and the shifts are lightning smooth. No drama to drive. The car is k!ller.

Wow! The 991 seem to handle great on Sebring. The mid corner stability and the damping seem to be 10x better than my old 997.1 GT3 (haven't tested the .2). I could barely hear the tires screeching on some of the corners despite the speed he was going.

Now, if the engine is as strong as the GT1 design, then Porsche made a winner! I still wouldn't want to buy a PDK car but the new car definitely sets the pace up.

991 got some clean laps at the end...turned 2:27's.....I turn in my Carrera GTS (wanna be gt3) 2:27...lucky laps are high 26.

I agree with Aussie Jimmy...get Trakcar in the 991 and I'd add Eddie too and Randy and then we will know....heck put carefully ole me me in the 991 for a session. I bet easy 2:18-19.

Then didn't the $56k Vette on friggin run flats just turn 2:23 at Sebring...yep it did!

991 owner is a friend from Ohio, and is a very nice guy. Car had delivery miles. Sadly it crapped out on track. Completely died. Local dealer was able to get it going again the next day by swapping some parts.

meh....it could turn a 2:10 and I still wouldn't want one. It's a wicked fast car, but I'd rather have a .1RS w/ Ohlins and a 3.9L sharkwerks.
