Great article. Didn't realize 996 GT3 was available in 1999. Did they import to US then? I have never seen one pre-2004.

No, the 996 GT3 was only available in the US in 04 and 05 as Mk2
Mk1 was available in Europe since 99

Maybe the very last GT3 that 911 bores (that’s Henry. Ok, and me) will consider a real GT3
