I recognized the first set of pics were from NOLA, which is my home track. Wish I had know that car was going to be out there. It would have been great to see one up close. Congrats on a truly special machine. I'll bet it's going to dominate the old car once Porsche and the collective user base figure out the first few rounds of beneficial tweaks.

Ben Barker comments on 991 Cup vs 997 CupHow did the 991 GT3 Cup car compare to last year’s 997 Carrera Cup racer?
It was quite different. I can remember my first test at Barcelona where I kept going for the gear shift.

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Abu Dhabi 2013

"The Carrera Cup car is a real driver’s car. You’ve got to man handle it whereas, with the new car, you’ve got to be more polite, because of its wider and longer. But the engine is still in the back. It’s still a Porsche, so you get used to it."

Full story here but mostly about his Carrera Cup/Supercup development: http://www.total911.com/interview/be...earning-curve/

Sounds pretty consistent with various reports, including mine.

The exhaust Franz Conrad was running at Daytona was single outlet from M&M... Sound was intoxicating!

Mo wasn't exaggerating we were topping out at 175-180 in our 3.8 RSs they were clocked at 207... But we were told from the organizers they blew the bus stop a handful of times tho. There were some .2 cups probably not pro driven maybe mid 1:50s. If the 991 got a clean lap easily :48/49s

It looks like I am going to bring the car to Sebring for the PBOC event next week. This is really just a venue to further test the car and work on baseline setup options vs a focused race effort. Feel free to stop by and take a look.

I would be glad to codrive the enduro with you if you need another driver for the long 6 hour day/night race.

I am thrilled to hear that. I have been searching endlessly for a co-driver and there seems to be no volunteers. I hope you will only bill me a reasonable amount for these services.
