For clarification: this appears to be the motorsport part which means the buyers with street cars will need a new 1st gear set to make it work yeah?

Good question, I have no idea.

I have called it "Motorsport" because I assumed that it was a Motorsport part since it isn't fitted to any series Porsches AFAIK.
It worked with my GT2 without any 1st gear mods. Maybe someone with more knowledge could chip in ?

It's one of the features that sets the RS apart from the gt3 which has the 3.44 ring and pinion
A great "mod" for any 997.1 gt3 or RS (both came with 3.44) and for 997.2 gt3
