997.2 GT3 lift questions
I'm looking for a 2010/11 GT3 and am conflicted about the front lift. It would be helpful for me (I've tried to drive a GT3 up my drive and it tends to scape going out of the side of the spoiler). My choice seems to be either replace the front air dam when it gets worn down or find a car with the lift feature. My knowledgeable friends seem to line up on the " it's a piece of crap and adds weight" side of the argument on the lift. I've also seen somewhere something about some aftermarket parts for the lift. If there is something to replace the original parts if it fails I'd feel better than just repairing it with the same original parts leading to more failures later. Any insights here? Thanks Bryan

+30000 kms with around 20000 on track car has lift kit for the same reason you need it
If it were a trailer queen then Id line up with your friends because it is extra weight.
Mine has never failed so cant comment on replacement requirements or costs.
It's not a must have feature and there are always ways around problems but the convenience was what sold me on it
From the weight perspective, at least it is weight up front and counters the weight at the rear. that's about the only plus from a balance perspective.
