I loved that video!!!
I want to go to the track right now!!!
I've been watching motorbike videos, since my brother builds his own bikes, & I've been waiting to see something that's filmed with the same sort of style/passion for Porsches.
Well done - I'll definitely be passing this onto everyone I know.

That was awesome! I would think that as a "side-line" you could be pretty successful as a video editor, director, etc., as that was totally enjoyable. I would love to see a cliffhanger, as a new video could keep me sucked right in.... waiting for the next one!

We sourced a very low hours 3.8 Cup engine from AutoMetrics in SC. We then took the cams, intake manifold, air box, etc from the old 3.6 and mated it so it would still be streetable. It's not a monster 450 whp beast or anything, but it pulls hard. We dynoed it at 393 whp and 290 tq.

Thanks all again for the feedback. I actually am a "director" for a living, but making films for fun on subject matter I'm passionate about is a freelance operation at the moment.

More of a transplant. The 3.6 let go of a rod in March, destroying the case, the oil pump, and a lot of other stuff, including my dignity at the track that day.

#4 con rod broke at the wrist pin. 50,XXX miles, track use, stress, who knows. No over revs or money shifts save for 36 range 1 ignitions. Stuff happens, and after internalizing it for 6 months I'm still shaking my head. Guess I just drew the short straw that day.
