Default Sports Exhausts and Cabin Noise

Hi All

Just an FYI, I have no affiliation with BOSE

I run an Akrapovic Race Exhaust, love it, both sound and weight loss are fantastic

However on long runs the cabin noise is significant, measures around mid 90's dba. so not something to expose your ears to for any length of time without protection

I recently bought a Bose Quietcomfort i20 Noise Cancelling in-ear headphones and they are fantastic. Previously I used the over ear headset, and this on longer trips was hot and uncomfortable.

You can get iPhone and Android compatible models, being in ear they provide a great block to cabin drone (I would estimate under 30da) and despite being somewhat deaf already these will prevent further hearing loss.

Don't want to miss the dinner bell!

Recently completed a 2000 mile / 3000 km road trip and I can say they performed extremely well.

my 0.02c worth

Nice. May look into some of these. Would be nice to have in cabin noise cancelling, but technology isn't quite there yet.

These are fantastic and a fraction of the price. Audio Technica ATH-ANC23 QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones... Google them for reviews from the audiophile sites...

Bought a set for each family member and everyone loves them!!! Only downside is they would not work with custom molded in ear plugs....

Very good find indeed

do they work with iPhone?

I couldn't quite work that out, here in OZ it would seem we don't get the 23 just the 33, but still significant savings

thanks for tip

Put them in in the rain in a rental car today and it was great! Could hear the cars soft music perfectly and just a hint of road noise! Will buy another set for road trips!
