Question regarding tires rotating on rim

Running Hoosier R6 tires on CCW rims.
Has anyone experienced the tires rotating in the CCW rims.
Freshly mounted & balanced and after 4 laps began to feel a serious vibration.
Come in and the tires had nearly between 90 to 180 degrees all around?
Tires had been originally marked with the valve stems.
Anyone?
Thanks

I don't know of any wheels and tires that don't rotate :-(
4 laps is fast though, mine rotate about 45 degree's per session.
I have BBS and they are scuffed to reduce rotating and I use RA1 that have less grip then R6 so that's why its slightly less rotation for me perhaps.

Had similar problems with R6 rotation on the rim. The amount of that tire mounting goop is the biggest cause, so I've found that slower early laps and easier braking helps the condition but they still rotate some. I've also heard about folks bead-blasting the tire bead surface helps and some use hair spray to keep things in place.

I have had 2 sets of CCW's and had to get the rim beads rough sand blasted. Doing that and mounting the tires dry and I had no more tire rotation.
I had the same issue on my OZ Challange wheels too but I took some time with coarse sand paper and a file and roughed up the bead and that and dry mount or at least with hair spray solved the issue.

Thank you for all the info.
Interestingly this has not happened with the HRE and Finspeed wheels I have but only the CCW's.
All were mounted the same. This was the first time using the CCW's.
Thank you again.

The wrong type or too much of tire mounting liquid is used.
Porsche in the factory manual recommends using a tire paste but I do not know the brand.
Here's a snippet:
When mounting the tyre beads, use only the prescribed tyre mounting pastes. The following can occur if an unsuitable mounting paste is used:
• twisting of the tyre on the rim,
• fracture of the bead core during mounting,
• damage to the rim surface by aggressive substances.
The wheel rim should not be roughed up as this can affect the quality of the air seal between the rim and the bead of the tire.
Tires should be mounted and the car not driven for 24 hours.
Tires and wheels should be marked to note any rotation. 20mm is considered the limit.

If your tire guys use any kind of mounting paste (including Porsches recommended Tiptop) then your screwed. Mounting the tires by spraying the tire bead and wheel down with rubbing alcohol works well as it evaporates quickly. Before seating the bead have them spray it down with hairspray. Has worked for me pretty well even though the tire sometimes still moves a little. On my last set of CCWs I scuffed the wheel bead down with sandpaper and that in combination with the alcohol/hairspray method did the trick.
