Default Would 997 GT3 be worth more or less in 10yrs?

With 991 GT3 and RS having only PDK, electric steering, DFI engine, and all sorts of nannies, and a heavier car... is 997 GT3 the last of it's gen?

If so, would it be one of those rare cars in 10yrs, sought out by enthusiasts? I am seriously thinking that situation just gonna get worse not better in future gens, and 997 GT3 might be a very very rare car in 10yrs (like 993?)! Thoughts?

give the car 15 years and we will start to see where they will be headed in terms of collectability and demand.

Right now they are stronger then ever in terms of demand. But depreation is still there. Just not major.

Im holding my RS for ever because i know it delivers the goods, looks great, and cannot be replaced in the future by a PDK car.

I dont care what it will be worth, but then again with what i just described above it is a sure fire recipe for market demand in the future.

Find the best example you can afford today and hold it for the long term.

15-20 years from now when it comes time to wanna rip through the gears in a screamer 911 you will be happy to have one.

Like anything in this world, the rarer the object in question, the better the upside. Translated - GT3's, which were built in relatively large numbers for the collector market, will likely still be plentiful and thus, lower upside. 3.6RS' somewhat more upside; 3.8RS', looking quite solid. 4.0RS', no brainers to be amongst, if the not, the most collectible Porsche's ever. I won't even get started on the GT2RS, which is still largely ignored here and in the world at large, but I think time will prove that one out, too.

As manual cars get rarer, it's worth to me will keep going up. Don't care what others think it is worth since I am not selling.

I think it will hold steady, then appreciate a bit... GT3s with under 20k on the odometer in 10-15 years will go up in value. I look at the 964 RSA & 964 Speedsters as examples... They have taken off in value in recent years, nearing their 20th anniversary... Both were made in quantities similar to the GT3s...

Just buy one now. You won't regret it. How much is the smile on your face worth? And if it appreciates - bonus! You will be PAID for that smile.

I think will drop to $60k-75k evenrually before slowly coming back up. As for 993 current prices, I can't prove it but there is currently a bubble and prices will come down again - they are plentiful and current speculators will dump/stop buying as soon as prices flatten, imho.

hard to say, because the people are changing faster than the cars imo.
most people love technology and gadgets more and more.
i feel antiquated in today's society even though i am barely middle-aged.
kids today will not be future collectors imo. they are just bombarded with too
much stuff to be able to latch onto something and hold it close to their hearts.

997.2 GT3RS was intoduced to the Motorsports division so it had unique history unlike other previous production models so I would not expect a 50% drop in value. If you follow Secret Collector it's all about the unique history of production relitive to future value.
