Exclamation Laguna Seca track event on 9/15 with 105db limit

Since I wasn't able to go to the BMW CCA event at Laguna Seca in August because my car is too loud, I registered for a Laguna Seca track event with Speed Ventures on Sunday, Sept. 15th as they have a 105db limit for the event. Here's the link to their website to register...hope a few of you guys come out.

I am going to sign up. Have wanted to try LS for some time now.

Will check with Mr. Wagner and see if he wants to help me.

That's the best post of the week...when I had my CGT I kept in the garage 99.9 percent of the time. Very stupid move on my part. Planning on correcting that stupidity sometime soon.

haha just be sure to change the brake fluid and run the corsa tires (apparently)

you would definitely need the airbrake going into T2

I am back in LA Tuesday...going to watch yankees at 1PM today! I am trying to decide if I want to buy another CGT or go for the Mac. I plan on owning both but just paid both kids private school and I have to give half my dough to the ex. Better get back to work and then decide what I am getting.

The CGT market is very strong right now but I am loving the look of the Mac. My 12 year old who is my car guru is pushing for a 700 mile silver CGT that is in Ohio. Thinking about flying to Ohio on my way back to LALA land.

I would love to go and the timing is perfect as I have to be in bay area the week after but have a few questions.

1. Haven't tracked my gt3 so far, do I need track support? What sort is available?
2. Is there a cost effective way to ship the car?
3. Is anyone heading there from AZ that I can share a trailer with perhaps? I only need it one way as I will be staying in bay area the week after.

It would be awesome for my 4.0 to lose the track virgin status.

I would recommend starting in the beginners group and getting instruction for at least 2 sessions. I've tracked a total of about 2 dozen times in my entire life and even though my skill level falls into intermediate I have purchased instruction for 2 sessions as I have never been at Laguna Seca before.

Check with Mooty on shipping your car over...he assisted in having my car shipped from Orange County up to the Bay Area so I could go to the PCA Thunderhill event this past weekend and keep my car there for the Laguna Seca event coming up on the 15th. I'll drive it back down to Orange County after the event. Hope you can make it out there, I'd love to see a 4.0 on the track.

i pm'd you.
you dont really need track side support. just have car prepped. i would change brake fluid and that's all. if you tracked before, you might try more aggressive pads. if you haven't tracked much, oem pads are fine.
