Cleaning Performance Friction pad dust off wheels
I should add that before I had a set of Performance Friction pads fitted at Spa, the dust from the Pagid RS19 pads was easy to remove.
I had heard on other forums that Performance friction pads created dust that was very difficult to remove.
I ran the PF pads at Spa because I like to have good pad material thickness.
What a mistake - the pads are great from a stopping power point of view but the build up of dust was dreadful.
The corners on the wheels built a concrete layer which was impossible to remove without paint damage.
This is because the dust is from an iron based pad and Pagid are ceramic based. (I think)
So as soon as you spray IRON-X on a wheel with iron dust, the liquid turns purple as a chemical reaction to the dust.
THen you wipe around with a sponge, no hard rubbing needed and then you rinse off with a hose.
Job done, clean wheel.

Thanks for the post. I have found the PF08's dust to be slightly above that of stock but not quite as bad as you describe. Regardless, dust is always an issue especially after track days.
I just recently tested the Armour All Wheel Protectant which is supposed to repel brake dust. So far on my two cars (GT3 and Golf R) both of which dust pretty badly, there is zero dust on either set of wheels when they would already be coated. It's supposed to last 4 weeks per application. If it does, it will be pretty great.

Pre-Treat your wheels w/ Pam cooking spray
and the dust will rinse right off after your event.
Side note: becareful when running some extreme track pads in the rain. I once did and had a caked-on mess (before I learned the Pam trick) on the inside surface of the wheels of one of my earlier track cars; I was never able to fully clean the inside barrels. Black resuide remained etched to the wheels.
