Default Pano

There are places deep in the internet where the name "mooty" is only uttered in hushed tones...

Great job Pete, thanks for making PCA look good.

Pete, fabulous job. What a coup getting Richard Baron to help out on the design. It is like Road and Track is back from the dead with an emphasis on Porsche- just perfect!

Oh and Mooty does exist, don't let him watch your kids...(don't ask)!

Still waiting to see if "Mooty" really exists, however. So far, not buying it. A brilliant move on your collective's part, tho'...

For anyone who wonders what impact a single individual can make, the difference in direction between Pano and Excellence in the last several months is a Masters thesis.

Well done, Pete!

The content had already improved greatly the past couple of months, and now the mag has the look to match. Congrats to Pete and his team.

Although on Pg30 "Porsche Owners Beware"... the comments about ".. the average age of Corvette owners is 55 while the average age of Porsche owners is a much younger and more vibrant 48"....Some real thought went into those words. So that means at the stroke of age 55 I sell the RS and get into a Vette? (Sorry but pulling the age-card for sales just ain't cool).

Oh wait...I'm 56.... holy moses its time to sell. (If I wrote that line I'd be out of a job in seconds)

better pics for sure, but content is different.

the old absolute sound was the best magazine i have ever read.
the new version is good, but doesn't have the community on fire like the old one did. mooty, you should reconsider subscribing....some exciting gear out there to get addicted to.

the stout-era excellence was superb too. there was always a laid-back, relaxed approach instilled there. that's how the finished product came across anyway.

Pure satire...and given how much Rassa does for the club, as a volunteer, I let him have a little fun. The bit certainly made me chuckle. I like both Corvettes and Porsches, and it seemed like both a nod to what looks like a very compelling new Corvette while having a little fun with Chevy's marketing campaign and offering us a chance to laugh at ourselves a bit—and, I suppose, asking Corvette owners to do the same. We've gotten enough angry letters (6-7, to be precise) to suggest some folks are either a bit thin-skinned or we got it wrong. Have to consider that in the future.

New writers, new audience...

Hmm... http://www.hpsoundings.com/2013/04/w...bsolute-sound/

This guy sounds like someone I'd love to get to know. Extraordinarily passionate, with integrity. Also appears to be living proof that you can do great media on just about anything.

Eons ago, I looked at going to school to become a sound engineer, but got distracted. Maybe I should have been reading TAS.

Pete

If you are going to talk about Vettes you need to refer to Gold Chains often and if you go after the new Z28 then Mullets will be the theme you want.
