That looks so nice, I wouldn't want to put the shifter console back on. It would be an interesting thing for you to partner with one of the carbon cabin trim vendors to offer a "console delete" kit for the 997 (like the factory 996 part.)

What's the list price?

I assume this is a DIY install and fully reversible.

Can you comment on cabin noise level?

I'll PM you pricing. Provided with every order is DIY guide. Cabin noise will all depend on your current set up. Should be minimal though.

I have this and I am happy. More noise but then I did the transmission mount at the same time so hard to tell how much of the noise is due to that mod.

The shifter doesn't add noise.

The transmission mount does. I had a Cup transmission mount installed in my 996 GT3, and took it out after one month, as I could not handle the excessive noise.

Very nice indeed. Quick question for the OP.

Is the shift throw adjustable with this unit? Meaning, if you desired could you leave the shift throw about stock length? I have a 2010 GT3 RS now and don't feel that it needs a shorter shifter (relative to the world of 996s), but would definitely welcome a high quality unit that just made shifting smoother.

Thanks!

Shifter throw is adjustable from standard or short throw. It doesn't add noise but cables do transmit a bit.

Shift is very solid and responsive...perfect balance.

Does the shifter unit alone remove the play in the shifter as shown in the video below, or are the cables also required to remove that?

I just ordered a shifter and cables for the C2S. Excited about the DIY. Also putting in the WEVO mounts so I'm hoping for a great new feel!

Do semi solid gear box mounts as well from Eddie (Race Parts Warehouse) and it will be a complete package and awesome!

That play is there for a reason, the engine/gearbox moves seprately to the chassis and gearbox lever (shifter) mech and if the play was removed, damage and jumping out of gear would be major issues! The Numeric shifter makes everything much more solid and reduces play a bit BUT takes out all the flex from the plastic OEM shifter mech
