Default .1 RS, Carrera GT, and Malibu

Was in the malibu canyons yesterday morning, stopped to enjoy the lookout on mulholland and a silver GT pulls up and the driver yells out the top "is this porsche parking"?? I look over and it's Jay Leno. Only a couple others up there, he gets out, takes a long look at my RS and we chat about porsches for about 5 mins... genuinely nice guy and serious gear head. He raved about the GT, how the 918 doesn't do much for him... Anyway, had a good chat before he got mobbed by a bunch of others that pulled up shortly after. He took the many photo requests in stride and was up there for almost an hour talking cars and chatting with people.

Cool story, did you ask to trade cars?

Also were you talking to him about the 918? Or does he really not like the 917?

Sorry, I meant the new 918!!! Fat fingers.... I'm sure he would love to drive a 917 on the street ;-)

We chatted about some of the new tech, he prefers a more "analog" driving experience, but stated the tech in the 918 is inevitable... he did say he really, really likes the drive and feel of the mclaren mp4. feels Mclaren really got that one right.

Fun stuff. True car guy. The Lotus Europa build that he had Foose do for one his employees was nuts.

Been to his garage a few times, he has an amazing collection! Everything is so interesting from his supercars to his classics including steam cars. He definitely is an ultimate car guy and Porsche aficionado!

My first ride in a Porsche was a '07 GT3RS, my second time in a Porsche was a ride in a CGT..
Stuff of dreams...

Mind you I never actually drove a Porsche until I bought my '07 GT3 which was AFTER I ordered my '10RS.

Jay is a super gear nut & overall great guy. I think we'll be seeing more of this Jays Garage in the near future.
