Default For those who Shimmed LCA

I'm getting ready to tackle my strut hats/shim the lower control arms to get some more negative camber and Im wondering for those who have used the OEM shims or the Tarret shims which sizes did you use/purchase and what quantity? For instance, will I need the same size on the rear axle that I used on the front? I'm planning on purchasing the Tarret ones so here is a link to all of their sizes. I hope my question is clear.. Thanks for the help

I added the Tarett 6 mm shims in the front. Those allow you to get up to about -2.5 deg negative camber. If you need more negative camber, then you should get a thicker shim.

Thanks Jake, I ordered the 10mm. My target is -2.5 F -2.0 R so I should be able to achieve it and anymore with the 10mm, at least thats what I'm hoping. Didnt realize until I went to order that the rear control arms wont accept shims as they are only 1 piece.

Randy, did you use shims when you had your .1?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with stacking them. I suggest buying several small shims for micro adjustment (a la layering vs wearing a heavy jacket).

I ended up using 7mm worth to achieve -2.5 camber up front.

for the gt3 mk1, I would suggest the RSS Tarmac SeriesLower Control Arms

why?
- 2pc and come with shims
- come with sealed monoball
- come with solid caster puck
- can always be sold later
