Sorry for the noob question.. But this is something that I have always wanted to know. What is the difference between a car's traction control and stability control? How do they work and what are the different purposes?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I think a lot of it is marketing. In other words, terminology.
Some car companies may use the ABS for this traction/stability control/management. Some may use the AWD systems. Others may use both the ABS and AWD to maintain the car's control.

Traction works on driven wheels and is all around limiting wheel spin.
Stability is working on all wheels driven or not and is about limiting or controlling yaw, understeer and oversteer
ABS is just stopping the wheels locking under braking.
All use the ABS module and some include damper and diff controls
Hope that helps?
