2011 997.2 GT3 RS DME Problems
I'm trying to get the car inspected in NYS, and had the following NOT READY readings from the DME:
Cat.conv.efficiency NOT READY
Oxygen sensor heat NOT READY
Any idea how to correct this? Everything is stock
Thanks.

i got rid of it by drivng at fwy speed for 30 miles or so.
the dealer may have more "scientific" description of the hoops you need to jump through (specific way of driving the car) to get it through readiness mode.

Can I assume you had a battery fail or disconnected the battery for winter storage?
I had a similar problem in a 993TT. Driving a mix of highway and backroads did it. There is a specific amount of revs and conditions the car needs to cycle through as well as maybe a few on/off events and up to temp events.

Or was the ECU reset or flashed?
I don't have the Pcar one, but it's called a drive cycle. The car needs to complete 2-3 of them to validate emissions and throw a CEL if need be. A car is not ready at emissions testing if the drive cycle is not completed. (designed to prevent a owner from clearing the CEL just before the emission testing using OBDII)
Ex. (older BMW) 2min 15 sec cold start and idle. 15 min 20-30 MPH, 15 min 40-59 MPH, 5 min idle. Repeat 2x. About an 11 miles circuit. Drive cycle stops if RPM above 3000, more than half throttle, and road speed greater than 60mph - but the drive cycle is cumulative, ie. the next 40-59 MPH run will finish the drive cycle before the next can start.
It's the rolling road/dyno test procedure that was used to pass the EPA test basically.

Ship it to Florida, I will bring it to Sebring on a set of slicks, take down the 2013 DE Cup Champion, and give you a quality DME readout. You're welcome.

I had a dead battery about 6 months ago, they jumped it and replaced the battery. Since then, I've put on at least 1500 miles including several days at LRP....
The ECU has never been touched but I'm a second owner so who knows but it's not that is to "flash" the new ECU's as in the older models.
thanks for the Sebring offer....if it goes to Florida, I would register it there.
