Default RS gone, Dedicated Track Car Arrives

Well I sold the RS on Friday. First I gotta say the market is strong! Paid $142k and wholesaled the car for $119k (Over 3 years old w 10k miles. Dealer sold it for $127k within a week). So if your thinking about selling, now is the time. I've been driving a 997 GT3/RS for the last 6 1/2 years as a dual daily driver and track machine and figured it was time for a change. Finished building this about 2 months ago for the track (Will Pick up a 991 GT3 for my daily driver, LOL). Took a 30k miles 2008 Porsche 997 Non S Carrera and and turned it into a Stock H race car for PCA Club Racing. Car is built to the max within the rules and should be very competitive. Took it to Sebring for the PCA race in Feb. Struggled with braking issues all weekend. "Ice mode" was kicking in about 4 times a lap when we started testing/tuning it during practice. Got it down to only happened about once every other lap by the end of the weekend, but had to brake about 100-150ft earlier than the car is capable of. Survived the Sprints and won the Enduro. Here's how it's built, and a few pics ...

The pictures don't do this car justice. 100% top notch build by Ryan and Intersport. The car rocks. Look out H Class!

Yep. I'll be there getting some seat time in it before the Watkins Glen race 2 weeks later

Class allows minimum weight of 3225 with driver. I'm around 3280 with 1/4 tank and driver. Can strip out another 40lb safely If I ever get around to it.

Great build.

I see at least a 100+ lbs of stuff that can come out for a race car.

If you ever have any questions about these Carrera race cars let me know.

Thanks, i may take you up on it. Although I'm limited by the rules, so can't even come close to being allowed to modify it the way you did yours! When building the car and calculating weight i thought I was going to actually come in under the 3225 allowed. So I put trackmats and custom door panels on, and left the center console. All easily removable, but 40lbs over won't win or lose it for me out there. Plus never have to sweat getting pulled onto the scales by the scrutes.

A solid trend

RS/GT3 owner goes race car.....buys "soft" car (aka Cayman R, 991 GT3) for street/daily driver.
