I just recently clear bra'd my new to me GT3 RS with Expel Ultimate. It comes with 10 yr warranty against yellowing, cracking and so forth. It will cover the film and labor....that is an amazing deal. This film is pretty incredible.

I made the mistake of putting venture shield film on my white GTR. After 6 months it is all yellow and really shows.

Expel is apparantly the way to go.

Spray-on has been around for a while. It's probably simpler, cheaper and all round less time-consuming and cheesy than rolls of painter's blue tape. I wonder if 3M finally has something that goes on clear and shiny or if it continues to really look like, "yep, you sprayed clear plastic on your paint."
As for Xpel, I've heard mixed reports (especially shrinking and lifting) but that's been said of Venture, which I've seen yellow and others say they have a new composition that is UV stable. I've used 3M for several cars with no problem other than I'm never really impressed by the edges and contours -- it doesn't like to make the compound curves (mirrors, headlights, etc. As ever, it's 60% product quality and 60% installer skill (round figures.)

I'm going to try this. RS needs a fresh bra anyway.

Great minds! I have a practice day coming up, so I ordered the kit off Amazon. Looks like it includes a process of cleaning and applying a synthetic wax before applying the clear spray. I guess that aids the peel off. It'll do to protect the family bus daily driver 991S while I "finish off" a set of Sport Cups.

Can you add this to damaged parts of existing clear bra?

Probably, but don't know if it is thick enough for windshield. As long as it drys clear it can work. Also, don't know how the wipers will do over this film and whether it will scratch. If you need something on the windshield, I personally recommend Gus at Precision Autowerks for clear plex which currently has a group buy $199.

Having said that, I would probably use this spray this over the side mirrors since it is so hard to diy clear bra using precut pattern. Amazon has it for $44 for kit. Not bad at all to try. Youtube has an impressive gravelometer of the film.

What I've heard from my industry experts, is that the spray bra will suck the solvents out of your paint, and leave it discolored or faded when removed... I'm just say'n

I Use something similar to it from BASF on my lower front grills, it held up for a while.
