Anyone ran 235 / 295 Hankook Ventus TD on GT3 RS?
Due to last minute decision to hit the track(buttonwillow) this sunday, I decided to run 235/40-18 and 295/30-18 on Advan TC3 18x9, 18x11 on Ventus TD.
I know it's quite a bit narrower than most who run 245/325 or 245/335. but TD has nothing bigger than 295 rears.
anyone has run this setup?

It'll be very difficult to mount 295 section rubber on 12" rims. I wouldn't track with that setup, but who cares if this is for cars n' coffee. (Still it won't look good... 305 on 12" already looks warped, 295 will be worse)

I run 235/295 18 Yokohama on 8.5 and 11" rims no problem on 6GT3. You might need to stiffen the front bar or soften the rear 1 hole to help balance out the smaller than stock rear tire

I ran some Falken FK453 Stock size that performed pretty damn will on last Track day... I went in with fairly low expectations... was very impressed..
Maybe they are learning something on there race team with those tires..

I ran these last year in some 996 GT2 wheels. Fronts looked good, but backs were quite stretched in the 12" rim. They however performed quite well. I swapped them out after 4days but they a few more available. Same tread pattern as the 888 and loud on the street.

Thanks. Doesn't sound good to put the 295s on my 12" wheels

I ran 295/235 on my 6GT3 quite successfully. I'm 1-2sec faster on TDs than R6s. TDs last longer too! Overall, I like the TDs a lot.

Are you looking to run soft compound (C70)? Let me know if you find any, I looked hard and bought the last (3) 295/35/18 I could find in the country! I have a friend who tried the hard compound (C80) since he couldn't find any soft and he was not happy with them. I ran 295/235 on my 6GT3 quite successfully. I'm 1-2sec faster on TDs than R6s.
