Let's see, a large diameter hardened steel bolt threading into an aluminum upright... my guess is that it's not the bolt that stretches but rather the aluminum threads in the upright. I think dantzig has it right, the real issue is the damage the bolts do over time to the uprights. Replacing the whole mess with the motorsport studs is clearly the way to go. Porsche doesn't tell us to replace our steel wheel bolts that thread into a steel hub every time we remove them. Why the street cars are not shipped with steel caliper studs and nuts is beyond me.
