does anyone know if the 335/30/18 fits on a narrow body 997gt3.mk1?
do you still have the 255/35/18 and 315/30/18 if the 335 doesn't fit ?
i just picked up a set of 18s located on the east coast so i'm trying to make a tire decision for the 18s
thanks

with a stock offset (68) and removing the 5mm spacer (i.e. keeping it 68 and not 63 versus my now 60) and running a tiny bit shorter 18" versus 19" I think there is a chance
according to tire rack, the 335/30/18 is a 13.5" at widest point tire versus only 12.5" for the 315/30/19 and tread width is 12.8" versus 12"
if the width of the tire is in the sidewall and not in the tread area, then tread area 12.8 - 12.0 = 0.8" difference or 1/2 of this 0.4" or 10.2mm is really what matters for the fender clearance
with a 5mm spacer removed and an OE offset that is 8mm less than I currently have and that is pretty close to 10.2mm
the other difference is that the 335/30/18 is 0.5" shorter of a tire or 0.25" above the center line and away from the fender
so with all of the above, to me makes me think that with my 900# rear springs and the use of a baseball bat for leverage on the fender very slightly that I think I can get it to work
what I don't know is what is the rear offset of the 18" CCWs that I just bought - i have to find this out

just found out the CCWs that I bought (18x9, 18x12) have an offset of (44,70)
the 70mm rear offset is actually 2mm less than OE 68mm
if the spacer is removed then the offset would be 70mm versus OE 63mm and me currently running the Volk TE37 with 65mm offset + spacer = 60mm - so the CCW can be 10mm less than my current setup - this would almost be the perfect number zero zero room for error
so for an 18" setup i'm thinking either:
1) Hoosier R6 255/35 & 315/30
2) Hoosier R6 255/35 & 335/30 (if it fits)
3) NT-01s 245/315 (seems to be the new non-hoosier setup - with TC off obviously due to tiny inverted height stagger)
what say you all

I run 245/315 NT01 on my 2007 non RS GT3 with no problems. Only use TC in the rain and have had no problems with nannies. I actually prefer the shorter rear tire for acceleration out of the turns since I had the Guard LSD done with the welded water pipes.
