Welcome! I know where you're coming from - I was an expat for a while too, but at an even younger age than you. The day after I got back to the states I bought a 996 GT3 (I was just too jetlagged to make the deal the day OF)!
Word of advice, spend half of what you're thinking of spending on the car and use the rest for something smarter, like a house. A 50k GT3 will give you the same enjoyment as a 100k GT3 once its in your garage.
Good luck and be safe!

Schussler6 as others have stated, thank you for your service.
It merits acknowledgement to serve a purpose greater than yourself.
It comforts my heart to see our nation today give the earned recognition of our service members. In my generation we got nothing but disdain from the country we served. My hopes were to come home in one piece and buy a '69 Z28 Camaro. They were only about $3,000 in 1972![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Best of luck and please stay safe and come home.

Schussler6 - Thank you for your service and keep your head down out there!
It is very unfortunate that the previous generation did not appreciate the sacrifice of the brave souls of your era. I was only 2 upon your return but let me say thank you for your service to this great country, without which I would not have had the opportunities that have allowed me to partake in the automotive hobby at the level I do.
If your username is an indicator of your MOS let me thank you for "leading the way". I have a younger brother brother that serves under the particularly meaningful motto, "De Oppreso Liber" so I know a little about what it takes to do the job and have tremendous respect for those in uniform.
