Default Turbo owners demand centerlocks

I found this interesting while browsing 6speed classifieds...

While there are a handful of 997.2 GT3 owners looking to convert to 5 lug, there seems to be a handful of 997 turbo owners looking to do the exact opposite.

But I understand where they are coming from.

Centerlocks do look a lot better.

Until you lose a wheel and end up on your roof, they look amazing!

Maybe someone needs to re-direct them to our CL threads...

^ Why bother. 6SpeedOnliners are what they are. Color of interior trim, LED lights and whatever eyecandy being the latest fad are what they care. Wouldn't give a rat's *** if they want suicidal CLs that gives them more of a talking point at the next cars n coffee.

It's one member and everyone jumps ship on turbo owners. Please. Not like all gt3 drivers know how to drive and a lot of them act like aryton senna at the track w lapping slower than miatas.

Pete(savvy boy) has made a pretty strong case for user error and uneducated people when installing cl.

Funny, the same thing can be said of Turbo owners when lapping cars pulled over to the side. Seriously? your getting your feathers all ruffled because of some Turbo owner who is more interested in how his car looks?

I'm getting "feathers all raffled" because this is suppose to be a mature forum but I just see a few grown ups bulling some guy on another forum who is trying to enjoy his car HIS way.

There are plenty of GT3 owners HERE whom want the CL for looks as well. But of course lets bully the turbo owner. Very mature. What is this, middle school ?

You guys took this thread on the wrong tangent.

The intent is more like...if you want to convert your centerlocks, at least you know there's demand for your old parts to make the conversion less costly.

F1, don't take it to heart...

Not taking it to heart. By the title of your thread, it appears that you are trying to do otherwise. turbo ownerS "demanding" CL. No one is demanding, one gentleman is ASKING. Then followed by members making fun of the OP.
what needs to be said, is owners need to be educated on how to properly install the CL's and educate the OP of some of the potential hazards some people have been seeing.
