New 2011 RS owner needs a little help and manual is incomplete!!!
Hey Guys,
I just picked up a new to me 2011 GT3RS after owning 2 2007 GT3RS's. All I can say is WOW, Porsche got a lot right with this car. It is a huge uptick and feels about as quick as my old Scud.
Got a couple of questions, however. I tried to go to my manual, but unfortunately my manual skips from page 64 to 97, then repeats pages 100-128 twice. Anybody else have this problem????
Anyhow, here are my questions:
1) Does the roof console have a built in button(s) for programming a garage door remote? That looks to be the case, but of course my manual is missing the pages that would cover that!!! If so, can somebody please post the directions for programming a remote.
2) I would like to set up the bluetooth for my phone, but when I push the phone button on the radio, it says function not available. The only audio related options my car has are Universal audio interface, PCM 3.0 and sound package plus. Does this mean I am **** out of luck? DoI have to plug my phone into the center box by my elbow to get it to work?
Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. I have been bored driving a Pana Turbo every day so it is good to be back in the game with this beast. Best regards to all.

1) yes. Programming is same as other 997 911's
2) Bluetooth was an extra option. Just because you have PCM and Universal audio interface does not mean you have Bluetooth.
You can get P dealer to add it...cost is $700 I think plus labor. You don't need it on the RS IMO.

OK, it looks like I have gone 1 for 2 on my questions. The only reason I am concerned about bluetooth is because they have become rather militant about enforcing no cell phones while driving out here in CA. Getting caught can be expensive!!!
Thanks for the input!!!

Not sure how much difference, however, here's the online version of the 997.2 GT3 manual. Might help fill in the missing pages.

Scott,
It is shocking how good this car is!!! I thought the 3.6L GT3RS was underpowered, but that is certainly not the case with the 3.8L.
It pretty much goes like a raped ape. I like the price point better than the Scud as well!!!
I almost got a GT2 and I can hardly imagine it being too much faster than the GT3RS. Hopefully, I will defy my prior behavior and hold onto this car for awhile!!!!
