I really recommend UShip.com. Hundreds of shippers bid for your business, you can see their reviews and choose the best. Most are owner operators that are deadheading and are glad for your business. It's point to point, unlike the commercial guys that are going to hold your car for days or week consolidating a shipment. Last commericial shipment of a car for me from Birmingham to Portland took 3 weeks.
I'm currently shipping my trailer from San Diego to TPD in Sacramento and on to Portland using the service- so far so good, very inexpensive and I get real time tracking of my shipment.

Gilbert with Philam Transport in LA. Used twice for Xcountry in last 4 months. 2 very smooth and inexpensive moves. Google his number. Tell him I referred you if you call. GL

I think I've seen at least one of your trailers has vertical "elevator" tail gate to allow for non-running cars to be rolled on and roll off without someone squeezing in behind the wheel and starting the engine (or riding the clutch.) It seems like this is the best solution, especially for cars like the Carrera GT. Do you have the facility to allocate a specific trailer to a move?
Please contact us to discuss the trailer you are looking for and the situation and we can discuss with you availability and pricing.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim, I don't have a move yet, but what I'm anticipating is from Florida to California and the car I have in mind can't be started. I'm thinking of just tying the car down on a pallet and moving it in a box! This is something Fedex has suggested, but I don't imagine they're price competitive.
We would not want it palletized or crated, we need to be able to roll the car on and off the transporter. It is ok that the car does not run, but we would need to be able to roll the vehicle. Let us know if we can help you with your move.
Thanks,
Jim
