Default Norcal HOD DE Thunderhill 2/16

I just signed up for my first DE event, HOD's Thunderhill session this Saturday (2/16). Is anyone here planning on going?

I'm super excited but also a bit nervous. Everyone I talk to keeps saying this is a slippery slope...

Congrats! Not going then but instead on 2/22 at Sonoma with HOD. They're a good group to start out with and yes, the slope is very slippery. Enjoy the slide!

You should make it a whole weekend and sign up with trackmasters(great outfit as well)on sunday. RL member Mooty will be doing sunday. He can provide you a wealth of information since he's had 12+ gt3's over the years. Mike

Thanks! I was originally planning on Sonoma but will be in Vegas that weekend.

That sounds like a lot of fun, I'll definitely look into it as well as trackmasters. Thanks

No sense driving all the way up to Thunderhill unless you spend the whole weekend, preferably 3 track days!

Also bear in fact Mooty/24 chromium/Chasen are very very experienced. Have any of them(all) ride with you maybe ride shotgun as well. If u do all 3 days- u going to get a huge education since its your 1st de. I ran with all these retards- top notch track ****** that pride on safety and awareness but drive flat out : ). Mike

GT3 Nitto NT01 most RS go to hard compound Pirelli slicks. Last same as Hoosier cost same go faster.

Or our own cocktail of nt01 RA1 but that will end when we run out next year.

So how did it go? What did you think? Are you sliding down the slippery slope? I remember seeing your car but don't think I got a chance to meet you. Hopefully next time.
