One more thing to break, didn't want it, would have taken it off if I had it. I'm careful around town, have pot holes, ramps, driveways with steep entries, etc. My car is not that low but low enough for me to take all ramps at an angle, no scraping, car likes to teeter on two wheels at the entries. I scrape more at the track than on the street. My car is complex enough with all the extra plumbing over a NA car.

Didn't want it. One more think to break as Nick says. And I'm sick like Mooty since I like seeing other people cringe when I scrape. I don't care. The PMNA part is cheaper, softer, and more durable. Just stock up a few.

I'd do without the FAL if I could. But I want to be able to drive the car in the real world. My 997.2 S with the 20mm lower SPASM chassis manages my steep driveway but it scrapes the rubber fairings in front of the wheels, (though not the nose). A GT3 splitter would obviously be lower. Without the axle lift I'm worried I'd be scraping every time I pulled into my own driveway which would be really annoying.

We'll it can never be truly "broken" ...just not operational.

Kind of like there is no such thing as a broken escalator: it's an escalator...that is now stairs.

How many of you went without A/C as it's "another thing to break" and not something you ever use on track? Just adding fuel to the fire.

Even weight-savings lunatic 911SLOW had a aftermarket front lift fitted!

It's not about weight savings, it's about use, complexity and what I want in my car. Don't want to wait for this system to operate, don't want the complexity of said system I wouldn't use, so I don't want this system on my car. I'm not going to tell others not to get it, not my place. If you like it, good for you, horses for courses, different strokes for different folks, etc. my E55 has Airmatic and thus also a similar lift system, I never use that either for that purpose.

I use my daily to get in and out of my drive. I just couldn't live without it as it scrapes otherwise.

I used the front lift everytime I drove my car for the past three years.

It works and I love it.

front axle lift takes the worry and hassle out of taking the car anywhere you want.

fantastic option.

without it, I can't get into or out of my underground garage in central London

I am driving my car daily and frankly would not be able to do so without the lift. Even scrape a bit with it every day leaving my clinic's lot. If it was a track car only then perhaps I would do without.

For inner city melbourne, it is a must! Not about scraping front lips, that still happens even when lift is in use... Without it I would beach the f&@ker or lose the front bar! A must if your local environment calls for it. Most carparks, driveways etc are designed for vehicles with approach angle clearances of 12 degrees plus, not 6.5 degrees!
