Question Price check and advice on this 997.2 GT3

Long time admirer of the GT3 and especially the 997.2 for some reason. It's a little low on options, but also on miles, and that may be just the ticket for avoiding long-term maintenance headaches. Seats are a big plus. Also, it's right around the corner from my house.

The car looks great, but don't believe it has "never been tracked." It's possible, but not many put harnesses in and roll bar if they haven't tracked it. The tires are not OEM. If you don't track, your Pirelli's or MPSC should still be okay after 4k miles. That being said, original owner may have swapped them for better daily driving conditions. Also, I think this car should sell for a little less since it does not have dynamic engine mounts - that is one key feature that increases value for these GT3s.

The car needs a DME report, PPI, and make sure the CL recall was done. If it checks out, I would offer $95K for it and see where it goes. Just my opinion though. It seems like a great car.

Price looks about right. I paid $103,00 for my 2011 GT3. Here's a link: http://www.porscheofnorthhouston.com...Texas/4248194/

Had a PPI which checked out and so far I'm happy! I say go for it! Hardest part was convincing the wife I needed another toy

Thanks all, I reached out to the dealer and will take a look at it and report what I see. I have a relationship with the folks at Porsche of Fairfield, so I'll have them do the PPI for me. Wife says all systems go.

Looks nice. Don't let lack of PDEM deter you. I have yet to have anyone quantify a tangible benefit that could've be duplicated with semi solid mounts. Also if its a late build car, you can retrofit them. Don't have them on my car and has not detracted from my enjoyment.

Dynamic Engine mounts can be retrofitted so don't let that stop you. I'll have to look at my old posts for the cost, but I think around $2500 installed.

For the mileage, 95K would be a great deal. Realistically it's probably going for a little more- 97 to 99, not many available with this low mileage.

Oh yes, and the seats wash out the "missing" DEM- seats are a 5-6K retrofit. Having the seats is a big plus and will keep the price on the high side if the dealer knows anything.

It has everything you need to have fun on the track. I had to buy GT2 seats, harness and roll bar myself. I never use NAV or Sat radio. In fact I dont know what station it is playing. I just turn it off and listen to my engine and exhaust when I drive. My wife says it is annoying but she says that everyday about me. =)
