A technological tour de force and very exciting to own one for a while!
Congrats.

But Ok..wish you all the best and enjoy the Mclaren..
He may want to go back to old reloiable for track days!

He knows better than that I bet. Maybe a day or 2 at meadium punishment it will hold, but beyond that, I think it will throw the towel fast.

Now that sounds like a plan!

I have the same car in the exact same spec!! It is an absolutely amazing car but has many many "lucas electrics" issues.

Regarding Price: used ones are going for $30-50K off already. RESALE SUCKS!!! New coupes are going for MSRP or a bit below. Last month they were offering 0% or 0.9% financing!!

Well, whether the new 991 GT3 will be a proven track tool - remains to be seen. Insiders are telling me that it will not have the same reliability as the outgoing ones...especially in continous longer runs..but we will see about that.

Yes, the Mclaren had some issues..but Porsche cars also had some lately (~2 recalls on 991 already).

However, for me its clear - the 991 GT3 will never be able to match the performance of the Mclaren...besides the Mclaren is a beauty..even more beautiful than a 997 GT3...and Im saying this as die hard 997 GT3-GT2 fan..

You mean really really shiny Fax machine.

I do love the garage queen, thanks. I have a picture thread somewhere in the 993 forum I think.
