Why corvette drivers hate us porsche guys

The uninformed would expect the Fiat package to be more expensive, but it is not.
- 4.0RS: $225k market price (and going up) + $30k for basic track prep: $255k Trakcar.
- F430 Challenge: $120k + $6k for steel rotors kit. (2 Fiat race cars for the price of one slower Aero Beetle).
- 08/09 Scuderia $175k-$185 for pristine units + the basic track prep below:
- Aftermarket rollbar and install $2.5k (made in U.S. here in Florida)
- CCW 18" wheels $3.5k, you need 2 a little better if you are nice to John@CCW
- Tires $1k (275 NT01 and 335 RA1)
- Harnesses $900 Schroth
- Endless brake pads $800
- SRF brake fluid flush $300
- Alignment and corner balance $600
- Rear monoball Tie arms: Standard
- Wrap the entire car for 4K
- Window tint $400
- Solo DL and SmartyCam: $1800
- Pedal, tow hooks metal floor mats: Standard
- Long Lasting LSD: Standard
At this point, the Fiat package is still $10k cheaper, but it needs a little more:
- conversion to steel brakes: $5k (pads already listed above)
- stiffer springs and revalved shocks: $3k
- brake cooling ducts: $2k
The CCB rotors have good resale, so you get credit out of their sale. An easy sale at $8k (they retail for $24k).
No leaking hoses, no kaboom engines, no departing wheels. Whether you go street legal or race only, the Fiat is the more reliable, cheaper to acquire, and cheaper to own. Lower insurance rates too.

I LOVE big Fiats! That said, I've come to appreciate very much Aero Beetles.
The F430C is a lovely car, not as quick as a 997 Cup, but according to my data and personal experience, quicker than the street versions all tarted up!
Only downside is can't drive the F430C to C&C...

Fiat official warranty is 3 years/36,000 miles, you can purchase the extended warranty at any time, as long as the car has 55,000 miles or less.
- Up to 6 years and unlimited mileage bumper-to-bumper.
- up to 10 years and unlimited mileage on the powertrain.
- No need to buy an used car, it can be applied to a new car.

The Ferrari is the beauty of the bunch, Porsche Cup and GT3 ( when I was racing a Mustang fr500r at Miller one of the sweetest sounds I heard was Melanie or Madison Snow blowing by in a cup, I know it's hard to believe that anybody with less than 50 post could have a competition license ) I love them both but you got to give the Barbie car a little credit. My motor makes 510 whp on 91oct fairly low compression but I just wanted it reliable. and it costs less than 4000k to refresh and running WC pirelli scrubs it can do lap times within 1.5 sec off a new cup(Millers west track), which is not in my NASA class, I do have 50k+ in mods but its very cheap to run and I can still drive it to the track. This thread has been fun to read, I'll go back to the 996tt section and get out of your hair.
