Love the big wing on the street and I'm 52. Just love the unique looks of the RS decals, wing and all.

+1 for the 430. Sounds like a great choice. Please post pics and driving impressions once you get it...

I am currently debating an 08/09 Aston Martin Vantage OR an 07/08 GT3 as my DD... And yes, the car will have a ski rack and see LOTS of snow. I'm nuts, but I do enjoy fun cars...

Hey I'm 63 and I actually like driving around with the huge wing on my RS.

Went from an F430 to a GT3 RS. The Porsche is a better car in every way except for one thing...it's not a Ferrari. If you love Ferrari, that means something. If you don't, then obviously you could care less.

If you don't like attention, don't get the Ferrari. Despite the big wing, I don't get nearly as many people staring at the car/taking pics/taking videos, and that is a good thing. The Porsche handles better, is more suitable as a quasi-DD, and manual F430's are rare so if you like to row your own gears, the Porsche is the obvious pick. IMO, the Ferrari is the more exciting car though. There is just something about it that Porsche cannot match. I agree with the post above that anyone who loves cars should own a Ferrari at least once. Bottom line though, the GT3 RS is the better car. Now if you're talking a Scuderia, that might be a different story.

Well said and well done. Blue/Gold RS is perfect.

I don't mind having a Ferrari, just don't want to pay for one, as Porsche can satisfy all my driving needs at a lower price.

For what it is worth, i tried a brand new Aston Vantage convertible this last weekend, it had the steptronic gearchange, and it was the worst manumatic i have ever tried. The engine is lovely though. But if you go with the aston, avoid the automatic.

Got you all beat. Road Atlanta next weekend with the raised "big wing" 4.0 . Street or track no matter, 71 y.o. next month. Angels have big wings too. Allan
