If you are looking at 28', I would really suggest going to a gooseneck if you can. The pull so much better than a tag. Only downside is cost of hitch and you loose your truck bed while towing. I have pulled a lot of tags and finally went to a 48' GN and likely will always tow a GN now. If you do go with a tag 28' get triple axle setup. Much more stable than dual.

Gold Rush appears nominally expensive when compared with other sticker prices. However, you get what you pay for. They are the creme de la creme. Fully customizable, superb service & support, exceptional resale value. I would replace mine only with another. If not interested in new, and you are able to locate a suitable used one in good condition, it may be worth your strong consideration. They can add or fabricate almost anything for it to your spec. The charges for such work are commensurate with the quality of materials & time required of course.

28' GN only has 23' effective floor plus 5' front. It may tow better but it's shorter. 32' GN would equate to a 28' tag. 28' box can hold a car plus pit vehicle no problem.
