Default Setting up ride height

Ok, pulling a few things together from a couple threads on ride height - want to be sure I get this right.

Stock GT3 height is (couldn't find RS):
F. 108mm +5mm -0mm
R. 133mm +5 -0mm

This is measured from:
Front: Road contact surface to lower edge of hexagon-head bolt of cross-member screw connection to body.
Rear: Road contact surface to the locating bore in the rear-axle side section (between toe and camber eccentrics.)

Recommended rake is 10-15mm.

My question is - what is the factory rake at those heights? I need a reference so that we can get it right. Can I get some pointers on how to setup the rake?

Many Thanks

133-108 = 25 - this is your rake number.

Currious where you got recommended rake of 10-15 from?

Apples to oranges maybe, 996 cars suggested height only calls for 13mm of rake in stock form but most increase rake to 20+ mm for track work to help with rotation / balance. Curious why on your 997 you'd be reducing rake where in 996 world we all try to increase it.

Here's images of the measurement points:

Tip I've always found helpful. It's nearly impossible to get a measuring device into where you need to measure. I usually take wooden dowel rods and cut them to the length I want my ride height to be and use them like a feeler gauge between the floor and that measuring height until it's right where I want it.

Thanks! Great post, I never understood where they measured.
Is 133 - 108 in the manual for a 3.8RS? Sorry I dont have one here.

My car new arrived 149 - 108
And if Orbit measures the correct way my ride height last couple of years was 137 - 98. Seems to work fine.

The Orbit CUP car for Daytona was getting notched out to make it lower. I think the rocker panel will touch the pavement..

These are the factory numbers based on 19" stock wheels and tires. I've had good results with a 20mm rake using ~ 100/120 setup.

108/133 is for the .1RS

102/137 for the .2RS

102/142 for the 4.0

Thanks! I wonder why they want the rear of the 4.0 higher..
Seems I am spot on with OEM rake minus 5 mm.

My guess is because of the additional rear downforce that comes on the 4.0. More rake helps get the car turned in slower corners?

Also, I notice when PASM is on sport mode the car is lower. I don't know by how much, but it is lowered.

Well, let me double check that today. If I am right I will post a video.
