Black/Black 2008 GT2: answers please !
Anyone want to take a run at these questions for a GT newb ?
For the car listed below:
1) Is the cage OEM or aftermarket ?
2) What's the bottom line$$ on this car taking into consideration the spec and season of the year ?
http://www.thomasclassics.com/web/us...-Ohio/4750703/
TIA,
Geoff

Seems a little odd to install six-point harnesses with *** seats...I would ask if the previous owner of the car had different seats installed (which probably means he tracked the car)....just my $0.02 .....

+1, I thought the same thing. He has harnesses in the car, so he must have had them.

I suppose the PO might have had 2 sets of seats originally, then pulled the GT3/GT2 seats when he put the vehicle up for sale.
Seems like too much of a coincidence that they'd have the matching leather seats with deviated yellow stitching. No ??

You can buy them new (or used) and install them easily. The harnesses may not be useful without the other parts, particularly the buckle which would be attached to the sub mount bar.

Leaving the "GT2" seats in the car isn't going to add $7K to the sale price, so it makes sense to part them out before sale if you've got the original seats to put back in.

im willing to bet the previous owner bought a set of GT2 seats for track days and pulled em' for the trade in/sale.
He should have removed roll bar and harnesses along with the seats. Lazy i suppose.
Hot car all the same. Only needs GT2 seats to get back on the track!

Really. At very minimum pull the harnesses out. They're the last remaining real telltale item that it's been tracked. Lots of folks like the 'look' of the roll bar even for the street.

I don't think he had other seats in that car. If he did, they were not in there for much of the 7k miles. Look at the close-up shot of the side of the seats and you will see the wear on it from getting in and out of the car. Those seats have been there for most if not all of those 7k miles.
