I did EXTENSIVE tests on 3.6 platform, stock exhaust, track exhaust, straight pipes, E-85, headers no headers.... etc .... but didn't test with my side muffler delete exhaust system.
Will contact Jamie and maybe we can figure something out.

So EVOMS did the tuning, or did your shop do the tuning, Mike? Ground me in big gains? Was it mainly from timing advance, as the compression didn't go up.. also are the stock injectors enough to flow the 65% more fuel that E85 requires? I know I'm hijacking your thread a bit, Eddie, but this is cool stuff! Also anyway to add a flex fuel monitor to be able to go back and forth? I'm guessing not, as the bosch 7.8 likely can't handle a floating closed loop O2 target...

Its a custom tune done by evomsit.com at our shop on the dyno. Power comes from more timing & cooler intake temps. The injectors flow plenty on an all motor porsche for E85. Big gains would be 10-15+hp on top of a 93 octane tune and more consistent HP as the engine gets hotter.. We dont have provisions to add flex fuel sensors and swap or have it adjust on the fly based on ethanol content.. You would need to drain the 93 fuel and add E85 or fill when gas light is on.

OK, so a total of maybe 25-30hp over stock Good to know the injectors don't need to be changed. And thanks for confirming the flex fuel no go... I kinda figured!...

@mikeAWD, can you do E85 tune for my Fiat? The 4.0 Aero Beetles with RPW mufflers are running 77whp more than my Fiat, and better driving skills are not enough to compensate for the HP weakness in my Fiat.

Sure can be done, we just need to find out the size of injectors, which is easy, worst case, we need to take them out and check for flow.

You could always contact Underground Racing... don't think the HP would be an issue...

Heard from Dan at Sharkwerks that a 3.6 with muffler bypass and EVOMSit tune get's about 12-15whp. Am interested to see what Eddies muffler would get on a 3.6... Can't imagine it makes as much as a 3.8, but it begs the question, what are the differences between the 3.6L and 3.8L besides displacement that cause the difference. The only thing I can think is that the exhaust cam is bit longer duration in the 3.8 and it can take more advantage of the higher velocity exhaust gasses that the side muffler delete provides...

Too bad the exhaust and intake cams are variable, could take care of this in tuning!

Hahah. 77 more hp. I don't see why we can't tune it on e85. Easiest way to find out is for me to get a richer map from Evoms and make some pulls to see if it has the fueling.

Id love to see a boosted fiat make it around Sebring and survive to tell the story. Lol
