Hey guys, i installed a trailex winch kit on my 8045.
the kit has a high mount that the winch sits on. Would this be too high and cause a funny angle for the winch wire thus causing the winch wire to rub through the front splitter etc?

Measure the height of the spool fair lead top roller which is what controls the height of the cable and compare it to your tow hook height. Of they are similar then you have a great match.

Angle the winch slightly to the left, (standing at front of the trailer and looking at the back) as opposed to pointing the winch at the center line of the trailer. This matches the winch with the offset of the tow hook. Makes for an easier pull when you get the car close to the winch.
