Thanks. There was an accident (minor) going in the opposite way on A-8 on the way to Stuttgart. Backed up traffic so much it reminded me of Los Angeles.

Appreciate the history mention.

Good time at the Porsche factory tour. Met Dave 007DT. Great tour guide. Spoke great English.

Great to meet you as well...

Odds of meeting a renlister on a Porsche Factory Tour.

Here is a debrief of my trip.
Headed to Dusseldorf Germany for a trade show. I left a couple days early so I could mix business w/ pleasure.
Rental C180 merc from Dusseldorf. Headed to Stuttgart. 253km down hill w/ tailwind.
Merc museum was cool!!
Porsche museum was really cool seeing such iconic cars. Porsche factory tour was amazing. Coming from the manufacturing world (windows) I've been through all sorts of factories from Medical, industrial, etc. The level of logistics for Porsche to manufacture the way they do is incredible. I highly recc this tour. ~ 2.5hrs long.
After the tour Monday headed back to Dusseldorf for work.
Wed rented another car in Dusseldorf off to the Ring. Rented a Scrocco Cup Car at the Ring for 3 laps. (Ring was only open for 1 hr). Definitely a bucket list item! In general I thought the track was smoother than I had anticipated. It was fairly crowded but not dangerous. I. Had a GoPro in the car I've yet to download...
Thursday off to London.
Friday rented an A3 in London and drove to a customers facility 3 hrs away. Wrong side of the road and a driving experience on the wrong side of the car too.

Looking forward to going back to both countries next year...
